The sudden benching of Raiders' QB Derek Carr has gotten my wheels turning. With no real future at QB on the roster, what is McDaniels thinking?
Tom Brady Will Be the Raiders' Starting QB in 2023
Tom Brady is set to be a free agent this year and after a disappointing season with the Buccaneers under HC Todd Bowles, he could be looking to greener pastures. Who else to welcome Brady to a new team than his former OC in New England, Josh McDaniels.
McDaniels had waited years for Bill Belichick to retire so that he could take the reigns over Tom Brady and the Patriots and he finally had enough after 2021. McDaniels left the Patriots to lead his own team and replicate the greatness he saw in New England. Getting rid of incumbent QB Derek Carr was just another pawn in his end game. After acquiring stars like WR Davante Adams and LB Chandler Jones, McDaniels is going for the big fish, Tom Brady.
When Brady left New England, he was rumored to go to teams such as the Raiders, 49ers, and Chargers, however, his now ex-wife Gisele Bundchen shut down any west-coast teams as he would be too far away from his family. With Gisele out of the way, Brady is free to go where he pleases with his bachelor lifestyle. With the Chargers and Niners set on QB options, this only leaves Vegas as his dream destination with a system that he already knows.
The Raiders have lost plenty of games this year due to late-game Derek Carr antics and Tom Brady is the complete opposite from him when the spotlights are on. With elite receivers and a strong run game, Brady will be set up to well to compete in the AFC once more and bring the Raiders back to glory... for at least a season.
