A long wait for disgruntled LB Roquan Smith. Smith requested a trade from the team back in August and his finally granted freedom. Baltimore sends a 2nd, 5th, and LB A.J, Klein to the Bears in exchange for the All-Pro LB.
The Ravens have been terrible on defense this season and gave away leads to any team willing enough to take them. No surprise Baltimore decides to bulk up for a post-season push. Smith currently leads the league in tackles and will certainly make an impact immediately.
The Bears have seemingly given up on this season by essentially giving away their entire defense. Khalil Mack, Robert Quinn, and Roquan Smith were once cornerstones of this team and in less than a year they have all found new homes.
