Eagles Recieve 2021-3rd Round and Conditional 2022-2nd Round Picks in Exchange for Wentz
We all expected Wentz to be traded sooner rather than later. The Eagles only had two suitors for Carson Wentz: Chicago and Indianapolis, in the end, Indy comes out on top. Until more information is released I have reasonable suspicion that Chicago had a better offer for the estranged QB. Rumors circulated that the Colts offered two second-round picks while the bears were willing to throw one first-round and former Philly QB Nick Foles. Philadelphia was adamant in trade compensation demanding at least a first-round pick for the former second-overall pick, which the Bears had allegedly offered. I believe Wentz to the Colts is the Eagles' way of doing Wentz a solid as we all are fully aware that Indy is the better alternative from a player's perspective. I believe this is a good trade for the Colts provided Wentz's former OC Frank Reich can fix his issues and rebuild his confidence. I loved Wentz as a QB for a while now and for the second year in a row I will be bandwagoning the Colts and rooting for them to succeed should they not cross paths with my Chargers. Those of you loyal to my Twitter account may realize that I had this take in November of last year and I'm happy to see how it all comes together in 2021.
