Bills Rookie Accused of Sexual Assault, Jets' WR Mims Requests Trade

Bills' Rookie P Matt Araiza Accused of Sexual Assault at San Diego State

Buffalo Bills' new punter Matt "Punt God" Araiza has already found himself under fire before the start of the 2022 season. Araiza along with two other college teammates are accused of gang-raping a 17-year-old girl at a party last year. The accuser was a high school senior that met Araiza and two others at an off-campus party and recalls blacking out and waking up to the three men assaulting her. She reported the incident the next day and there has been an open investigation.

Araiza made headlines with his massive leg and ability to punt up to 80 yards. Araiza won the Bills punter competition with the release of P Matt Haack with huge expectations ahead of him. This is a developing story and no arrests have been made as of now.

Update 8/27/22 8:11pm EST: Araiza has been released by the Buffalo Bills

WR Denzel Mims Requests Trade From Jets

Young WR Denzel Mims is already fed up with the New York Jets. Mims was a hot prospect falling in the second round to the Jets in the 2020 Draft with hopes to be the WR1 in a weak WR room. This year the Jets spent another high pick on Ohio State WR Garrett Wilson. Mims believes that he does not have a future with the team now that they have a shiny new WR that, by the looks of it, is already a better option.

Mims is an unproven WR that has a high upside that could seek a nice trade market if the Jets are willing. Teams like the Bears, Falcons, and Packers could all use the addition in some of the worst receiving cores in the league.
