OL News! Cowboys' OT Out Indefinitely, NFLPA President Retires

Cowboys OT Tyron Smith Out Indefinitely

Cowboys lose 4x All-Pro OT Tyron Smith once again with a torn hamstring injury. Dallas hopes to have him back in December at the earliest to help push for a playoff spot. The Cowboys line has struggled with injuries in the past and have managed just fine.

Cowboys drafted OT Tyler Smith this year to be an heir apparent to Tyron, his chance to shine has come sooner than expected and he'll have some big shoes to fill.

NFLPA President and FA C J.C. Tretter Retires

Former Browns' C and current NFLPA president J.C. Tretter is retiring from the NFL. A solid starter in Cleveland for 8 seasons is hanging his cleats up after having a lack of interest from even the neediest of teams. Tretter believes this is because he has essentially been blackballed from the league due to his position in the NFLPA.

By retiring Tretter is also to step down from this role, leading the way for another player to be a sacrificial lamb for all NFL players. I sympathize with Tretter because there is and always has been bad blood between the league and players. We have also seen blackballing before with Colin Kaepernick and I'm sure we will see it in the future.
