Roster Deadline Highlights: AFC Edition

Today was the day all NFL teams finalized their rosters, and with so many moves I will split the important ones into NFC and AFC editions. Please note that I'm not going over every single UDFA or 4th string player that got cut, this list is not definitive.

Raiders Release 2021 1st Rd Pick OT Alex Leatherwood

The fallout of the Mayock-Gruden Era continues as more and more of their draft picks are exorcised from the team. Leatherwood has been terrible at football and great at mimicking a revolving door. I'm not surprised that he was cut, but I am surprised they are pulling plugs this fast. I'd at least give him time to develop, but with the bright Vegas lights, the Raiders are in the spotlight, and ownership demands results. With a new regime, the Raiders are poised to change drastically and they hope it's in the right direction for once.

Texans Trade DT Ross Blacklock to Vikings

Texans Find A Fresh Face in the Backfield, RB Dameon Pierce

After letting Fantasy Football Legend RB David Johnson walk and cutting RB Marlon Mack, the Texans have found their newest star in rookie back Dameon Pierce. The 4th Rounder out of Florida racked up an incredible 7.8 YPC in the preseason. This is a fiesty Texans team with Sophomore QB Davis Mills and a resurgent WR Brandin Cooks, this team looks to end playoff hunts and look for a chance to upset every week. Jot the 2022 Texans as my honorary team to root for this season, #WeAreTexans.

Dolphins Move CB Byron Jones to PUP/Reserve List

Bills Move CB Tre'Davious White to PUP/Reserve List

Browns Release QB Josh Rosen

Chiefs Move On From WR Josh Gordon

Bills Cut QB Matt Barkley, TE O.J. Howard and RB Duke Johnson

Colts Cut RB Phillip Lindsay

Ravens Add RB Kenyan Drake to Powerful Rush Game

FA RB Kenyan Drake has quickly found a home with the Baltimore Ravens in what is, if not one of the most feared running games in the league, after losing every back they had last season, the ravens hope to bounce back with mobile QB Lamar Jackson, RB J.K. Dobbins, Gus Edwards, and now Kenyan Drake. This team does not care about WRs and seems to function more like a fantasy football team where we all know, RBs are the only thing that matters. Expect Drake to get his fair share of carries in this rotating backfield, especially in the absence of Edwards for the first quarter of the season.

Broncos Release QB Josh Johnson and WR Kendall Hinton

Bengals Waive TE Thadddeus Moss

Ravens Release S Tony Jefferson
