NFL Survivor: Who's Left, How'd They Get Here, & Where Are They Going?

In what seems like the quickest elimination on undefeated teams we've had in years, two unlikely teams are still standing with a perfect record. Headed by former teamates at Alabama QBs Tua Tagovailoa and Jalen Hurts have led their teams to very impressive starts to the 2022 season.

Miami Dolphins

The Dolphins wins have come from the Patriots, Ravens, and Bills. These are very good opponents to have tiebreakers over, with the Ravens and Bills being perennial contenders. Tua's 6 TD performance against Baltimore showed the world that he was serious this time around and carried that into a gritty performance to survive the Bills.

Tua is top 3 in the league for both yards and touchdowns and is so far one of the best QBs this year. He has also guided both Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle into the top 3 for receiving yards. Under HC Mike McDaniel, Miami has become one of the top offensive powerhouses that has yet to be stopped.

The Dolphins have a very doable schedule upcoming with plenty of games going against mediocre and bad teams all the way up into December where we get to see their rematch against Buffalo. However the Dolphins have a concerning matchup against a pissed off Bengals team this week. The defending AFC Champions finally got the monkey off their back against the Jets and look to claw their way back into the playoff picture.

Final Verdict: The streak ends at 3-0

Philadelphia Eagles

The Eagles had major addition this offseason in WR A.J. Brown and DT Jordan Davis. Both of these players have helped to elevate this roster to the contenders that I believe they are. Hurts and company have turned a lackluster Philly team to one of the highest scoring offenses in the league.

The Eagles beat the Lions, Vikings, and Commanders, with the latter two victories being blowouts. Finally overcoming past struggles in the WR and DB rooms, the Eagles look complete from quarteback to long-snapper.

Like Miami, the Eagles have a very doable schedule, however they have plenty of 50/50 opponents that could pull a dominating performance out of a hat. This combined with the volatile nature of NFC East matchups makes me believe that this is not the season for 10-0 teams and so on.

Final Verdict: Eagles fall to the Cowboys in Week 6
