Broncos Release Veteran RB Melvin Gordon Following Loss to Raiders

I am solely writing this post due to my hatred of Melvin Gordon. Finally Gordon's butterfingers have caught up to him. After his third goal line fumble this season the Broncos are finally done with him.

He is best known for his hold out with the Chargers over a contract dispute which left him being replaced by Austin Ekeler and forcing him to take a cheap contract with Denver. Gordon was re-signed by the team this past offseason to help take the load off second year back Javonte Williams.

Gordon then finally had his chance to prove his worth after Williams went down with an ACL tear this season, but yet again he was outplayed. The Broncos poached RB Latavius Murray from the Saints' practice squad to fill Williams' roster spot and since he has claimed the RB1 role over Gordon.

All hate aside, Gordon will likely be a high value playoff rental this season. Look for his to join playoff teams lacking in the rushing department. I expect him to be on the Bills watchlist come January. He will produce as long as they keep him far away from the redzone.
