Houston Texans Fire HC Lovie Smith After First Season
After an underwhelmings 3-13-1 season the Texans look to find their 4th head coach in as many seasons. Lovie Smith likely knew he was out after the season and got his payback by winning their final game against the Colts and causing the Texans to miss out on the first overall pick in the 2023 draft. With glaring needs everywhere and especially at QB the next coach will have a lot of work to do and will likely not have his preferred QB in the draft. The veteran coach will likely find a coordinator job elsewhere in the NFL if he so desires.
Cardinals Cut Ties With Kliff Kingsbury Despite Contract Extension
The Cardinals were one of the most hyped teams of the offseason, but between suspensions and season-ending injuries, their season fell apart. They extended both Kyler Murray and Kliff Kingsbury this offseason and they are now going back. Kimgsbury joins a lomg line of failed college pipelime coaches that NFL teams keep falling for. I believe the Cardinals will look to find another offensively-minded coach to capitalize on their weapons and establish themselves amongst the top of the NFC.
