A.J. Green Hangs Up Cleats, Saints Open Discussions with Raiders' QB Carr

A.J. Green to Retire After 12 Seasons

A.J. Green was once a star in the NFL during his time with the Bengals and after many disappointing seasons in Cincinnati he sought greener pastures in Arizona at one last chance for a ring. Like his teammate J.J. Watt, both were left in a fruitless season to cap off their storied careers. Green was a 7x Pro Bowler, 2x All-Pro, and amassed over 10,000 receiving yards while being one of the most electric receivers of the 2010s. Peraonally, I believe that Green has an outsode chance at being a HOFer, but he will have to wait a long time and hope a weak class comes around.

Raiders Allow QB Derek Carr to Meet with Saints

The Raiders have already allowed Derek Carr to find a trade partner and surprisingly the first taker is the New Orleans Saints. After silently benching Jameis Winston and with Andy Dalton being a free agent, the Saints are placed squarely in a QB hunt.

The Saints are built to compete and they have a few pieces that they could offload in a trade to Vegas, namely WR Michael Thomas. In a hypothetical trade I think that a mid-round pick and Thomas would be great compensation for Carr. Thomas would round out a solid WR core including Davante Adams and Hunter Renfrow for the Raiders to entice a big name QB *cough* Aaron Rodgers *cough*.
