Frank Reich makes his first big splash in Carolina by trading WR DJ Moore and four draft picks to Chicago for the first overall pick in the draft. This allows Carolina to jump Houston and select their preference at QB. This move also give Chicagi QB Justin Fields his first real weapon at WR and give a chance to develop their offense.
What confuses me is why a team with so many holes on their roster gives up so much just for a QB. The Panthers still have an unknown quantity in Matt Corral and could've very easily built in the draft and if Corral did not work out, draft thwir answer in 2024.
