Colts Clear House, Indy Trades CB Stephon Gilmore to Dallas and Cut QB Matt Ryan

The Indianapolis Colts are starting anew by purging their roster of two aging veterans. The first major move they make is trading former DPOY CB Stephon Gilmore to the Dallas Cowboys in exchange for a 5th-rounder. Gilmore has bounced around the past few seasons, but in Indy he has shown he still has some left in the tank. This is a reasonable move for both sides that mainly helps Dallas on their way to compete in the NFC.

The other major move is getting rid of major disappointment and former MVP QB Matt Ryan. Ryan looked like a limp noodle with the Colts and was benched midseason for even lesser QBs. I would have to say this is the end of the road for Ryan, who took a major blow to any HOF chances with likely his final season.
